The foundation

A college built so that nobody would have to leave

Before

North Karnataka saw a bloom in educational institutions only a few years ago. Even then, there was a shortage of good residential schools, and facilities lagged well behind the leading institutes of the bigger cities.

Students who wanted more had to migrate. That was the problem the college was built to solve.

The stone

Sri Sharada Pre-University College was founded by Sri V. R. Patil and Sri S. R. Patil in memory of their mother, the late Smt. Sharada Patil.

The first stone of the foundation was laid on Dusshera, 19 October 2018. The college opened the following year.

The road less travelled

From the beginning the founders were clear about providing the best and safest learning environment available to students of the region.

Being a rural establishment, it had to overcome every challenge of building substantial infrastructure and of drawing qualified, experienced faculty to it — and it has since made significant progress on all fronts.

The Trust

Sri Sharada Foundation Trust

The Trust was founded in 2019 by Sri V. R. Patil and Sri S. R. Patil in loving memory of their mother, Late Smt. Sharada Patil.

Its purpose was defined from the start: to bring quality, competitive and value-based education to a region of North Karnataka long under-served in this regard — without families ever having to leave Koppal to find it.

The Trust also runs Sri Sharada International School (Classes I–X, CBSE) on the same seven-acre campus at Kidadhal, so a child can go from Class I to Class XII inside one gate.

I believe that quality academics combined with co-curricular activities completes the circle of education. And it makes me very happy today that the institution, in all its horizons, is making progress towards the overall development of the students.

These days, parents seek not only basic education, but also entities like academic quality, excellence and discipline in their children. Choosing the right school and college is therefore a critical decision.

Every faculty member at SSIS and SSPU College has been constantly striving to attain the standards of excellence set by the management. I sincerely thank every student, parent and partner associated with Sri Sharada International School and PU College for recognising the efforts of our team, and hope we continue to grow with your support and blessings.

Sri Sharada International School and PU College were founded with an endeavour to impart professional education and first-class facilities to the students of the HK region. Back in our days, there were hardly any renowned schools or colleges in our area.

I am overjoyed that SSIS and SSPU College will be great learning destinations in and around the district, and that students now will not have to migrate to other places in search of quality education.

We strongly believe that every student is a unique person with their own skills, needs and aspirations, and we are committed to bringing this out. The students here are encouraged to think out of the box and to display expression, innovation and teamwork.

To cope with the speed at which knowledge prospers, today's students must seek to achieve academic excellence. And by academic excellence we do not mean only high grades and superior performance inside the classroom, but a holistic development comprising self-confidence, persistence and leadership.

SSPU promises a high-quality educational experience that empowers students, is global in outlook, and develops the skills and values to deliver their full potential.

Students passing out of SSPU will be ready to take on the world, and to confidently clear the entrance examinations that carry them towards their career goals.

Mr. Raghuram Swamy serves as in-charge Principal across Sri Sharada International School and Sri Sharada Pre-University College.

Applications are open for I PUC across all three combinations. Forms are issued at the college office at Kidadhal, and the admissions line is answered during working hours.
